Computer science boosts invasive plant predictive power U of M researchers bring together ecology, evolution, genomics, invasion biology, weed sciences, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence to improve predictive maps for key invasive plants in Minnesota—common tansy and leafy spurge. Using fungi against EAB Emerald ash borer (EAB) is associated with certain kinds of fungi, some of which are entomopathogenic—they harm or kill insects. Researchers investigate how these might be used as biocontrol for EAB.
